Wisconsin's Enright, Minnesota's Clark, Ohio State's Peschel & Svensson Earn Latest WCHA Weekly Honors Presented by OS Hockey

Wisconsin's Claire Enright, Minnesota's Hannah Clark, and Ohio State's duo of Emma Peschel and Hilda Svensson were awarded this week's Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) weekly honors presented by OS Hockey, announced on Monday by the league office. 


WCHA Forward of the Week
Claire Enright, Sr., Wisconsin (Farmington, Minn.)
For the first time in her career, Wisconsin's Claire Enright was awarded the WCHA Forward of the Week accolade after her five-point weekend in the Badgers' series sweep of Minnesota State. After moving up to the first line for Wisconsin in the series against the Mavericks, Enright recorded a goal and an assist in the series opener and followed up with a one-goal, two-assist performance in Sunday's win. The senior forward tied for the team lead in plus/minus at +5 for the weekend.

WCHA Defender of the Week
Emma Peschel, Sr., Ohio State (Edina, Minn.)

Ohio State's Emma Peschel was named the WCHA Defender of the Week for the first time this season for her performance in the Buckeyes' series sweep over then No. 11 St. Cloud State. The Buckeye blueliner recorded two assists and was +2 in the 5-1 series opener on Friday. In Saturday's comeback win for Ohio State, Peschel scored the game-winning power play goal and tallied an assist. Peschel helped the Buckeyes hold St. Cloud State to just 1.5 goals and 13.5 shots on goal per game.

WCHA Goaltender of the Week
Hannah Clark, So., Minnesota (Oshawa, Ontario) 

Hannah Clark went undefeated in the net on the weekend to help Minnesota to a top-five road series sweep of then No. 4 Minnesota Duluth. The sophomore goaltender recorded 24 saves in Friday's 4-0 series-opening victory as Clark earned her second shutout of the season. On Saturday, Clark made 37 saves in the 3-2 win. On the weekend, the sophomore had a .968 save percentage and a 1.00 goals against average.

WCHA Rookie of the Week
Hilda Svensson, Forward, Ohio State (Oskarshamn, Sweden)

First-year Buckeye, Hilda Svensson earned her second WCHA Rookie of the Week honor of the season after leading Ohio State with six points and five assists in its series sweep of then No. 11 St. Cloud State. In Friday's 5-1 win against the Huskies, Svensson scored her lone goal of the weekend on a penalty shot, which was the game-winning goal, and added an assist. The rookie forward assisted on all four of Ohio State's third-period goals in the 4-2 comeback victory on Saturday and had the primary assist on three of the four goals. Svensson's four points in game two were a career high, as she now has five multi-point games on the season.
