The Hockey Commissioners Association (HCA) announced its first set of national monthly awards for the 2025-26 season as four Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) student-athletes earned honors for their efforts in September and October, with Minnesota's Abbey Murphy & Hannah Clark, Ohio State's Hilda Svensson, and Wisconsin's Caroline Harvey. HCA-Co Forward of the Month - Abbey Murphy, Minnesota
Minnesota's Abbey Murphy was named the HCA-Co Forward of the Month, along with Quinnipiac's Kahlen Lamarche, for her efforts in September and October. Murphy averaged better than two points per game during October and September as she totaled 24 points off of 15 goals and nine assists. The Gopher forward led all NCAA skaters with 15 goals in September and October while helping No. 2 Minnesota to a 10-1-0 record during that time. Murphy was named the WCHA Forward of the Month for September while also claiming two WCHA Forward of the Week honors.
HCA Goaltender of the Month - Hannah Clark, Minnesota
After earning the WCHA Goaltender of the Month honor for October, Minnesota's Hannah Clark was awarded the HCA national Goaltender of the Month for her efforts in September and October. The sophomore netminder posted an 8-1-0 record in the net for the Gophers during September and October, with seven of her eight wins coming against nationally ranked opponents. Clark also earned 232 saves in the two months combined for the Gophers. In Minnesota's 5-1 win against top-ranked Wisconsin, Clark allowed just one goal in the game to help the Gophers hand the Badgers their first loss of the season. Clark also earned two WCHA Goaltender of the Week honors in October.
HCA Defender of the Month - Caroline Harvey, Wisconsin
Wisconsin's senior blueliner, Caroline Harvey, was awarded the HCA Defender of the Month honor just a day after earning the WCHA Defender of the Month award for October. Through 11 games in September and October, the Badger defender has recorded eight blocks and 17 points off of five goals and 12 assists. Harvey has been named the WCHA Defender of the Week twice this season, once on November 3rd and on October 13th.
HCA-Co Rookie of the Month - Hilda Svensson, Ohio State
Just a day after being named the WCHA Forward and Rookie of the Month for October, Ohio State's Hilda Svensson claimed her first national monthly honor of her career as she was named the HCA-Co Rookie of the Month along with Clarkson's Sara Manness. Svensson helped Ohio State to an 8-1-0 record in September and October by tallying 15 points with seven goals and eight assists. Her 18 points lead all rookie skaters in the NCAA this season. The Buckeye forward also earned two WCHA Rookie of the Week honors in October.
