Twenty-eight current Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) student-athletes are competing for coveted roster spots at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina, taking place February 6–22.
Six WCHA programs have players in the mix. Ohio State and Wisconsin lead the way with six athletes each, followed by Minnesota, Minnesota Duluth, and St. Cloud State with five apiece. Minnesota State rounds out the group with Lucie Tennenbaum vying for a spot on Team Switzerland.
Team USA will also feature two current WCHA coaches: Minnesota State head coach Shari Dickerman and St. Thomas assistant coach Alli Altmann.

The list also features some of the NCAA's current stat leaders this season, with Wisconsin's Caroline Harvey ranking first in the nation in points (37) and assists (28) as she looks for a roster spot on Team USA. Ohio State rookie forward Hilda Svensson, a Team Sweden hopeful, leads all first-year skaters in the NCAA in points (31), goals (12), and assists (19). Badger netminder Ava McNaughton, who is also seeking a spot on Team USA, is currently tied for first in the nation with six shutouts this season.
