Two Western Collegiate Hockey Association programs are bound for the National Collegiate Athletic Association Women's Ice Hockey Frozen Four. After competing in the 2026 Kwik Trip WCHA Final Faceoff just over a week ago, the 2026 WCHA Final Faceoff Champion, Ohio State, will be joined by reigning national champion Wisconsin at the 2026 NCAA Frozen Four hosted by Penn State at Pegula Arena in University Park, Pa., on March 20 and 22.
In the NCAA Regional Finals, Ohio State and Wisconsin were victorious over their ECAC foes. Ohio State defeated Yale 6-1 in Columbus at the OSU Ice Rink while Wisconsin shut out Quinnipiac 6-0 in Madison. Fifth-seeded Northeastern defeated fourth-seeded Minnesota 4-2 inside Ridder Arena.
Top-seeded Ohio State and fifth-seeded Northeastern will meet in the first national semifinal contest at 3 PM CT on Friday, March 20, followed by second-seeded Wisconsin and third-seeded Penn State meeting in the second national semifinal game at 6:30 PM CT. The Buckeyes and Badgers will look to compete to bring home the WCHA's 23rd national championship title.

Ohio State and Northeastern will also be meeting for the first time this season as the Buckeyes hold a 6-1-2 all-time record against the Huskies.
The Badgers have the most national titles of any league member with eight, while Ohio State has won two. Wisconsin is the reigning national champion, after winning the title last season by defeating the Buckeyes 4-3 in overtime in Minneapolis.
