Minnesota's Nelson, Wisconsin's Harvey, McNaughton & St. Cloud State's Mikaelyan Earn Final Weekly Honors of 2025 Presented by OS Hockey

Minnesota's Jamie Nelson, St. Cloud State's Maria Mikaelyan, and Wisconsin's Caroline Harvey and Ava McNaughton claimed the final set of Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) weekly honors of 2025 presented by OS Hockey. 


WCHA Forward of the Week
Jamie Nelson, Gr., Minnesota (Andover, Minn.)
Minnesota's Jamie Nelson claimed her first WCHA Forward of the Week honor of the season for her performance in the Gophers' series sweep of St. Thomas. Nelson assisted on the Gophers' fifth goal of the game in Friday's 5-3 win over the Tommies and followed up with a one-goal, two-assist performance in Saturday's 4-1 victory. Nelson's three-point performance in game two marked her first three-point game of the season and her fifth multi-point game. Nelson tied for the lead amongst all WCHA skaters on the weekend with her four points.

WCHA Defender of the Week
Caroline Harvey, Sr., Wisconsin (Salem, N.H.)
For the third consecutive week and fifth time overall this season, Wisconsin's Caroline Harvey was tabbed the WCHA Defender of the Week after helping the Badgers to a series sweep of No. 2 Ohio State on the road. On Friday, in the Badgers' 2-1 win, Harvey recorded the game-winning goal before following up in Saturday's 6-1 victory with a one-goal, two-assist performance. The Badger blueliner also earned the game-winning goal in game two of the series. Harvey tied all skaters in the WCHA with four points on the weekend, with her two goals and two assists. Harvey's three-point game on Saturday marked her 12th multi-point game of the season.

WCHA Goaltender of the Week
Ava McNaughton, Jr., Wisconsin (Seven Fields, Pa.)

Ava McNaughton backstopped Wisconsin in a series sweep of No. 2 Ohio State en route to earning her second WCHA Goaltender of the Week award of the season. The Badger netminder posted back-to-back 25-plus save games against the Buckeyes, including 35 in game two, and allowed just one goal in each game against the second-ranked team in the nation. On the weekend, McNaughton made 60 saves on 62 shots faced for a .968 save percentage. The 60 saves McNaughton made were the most of any WCHA goaltender on the weekend.

WCHA Rookie of the Week
Maria Mikaelyan, F, St. Cloud State (Moscow, Russia)

St. Cloud State's Maria Mikaelyan garnered her second WCHA Rookie of the Week honor of her career after a four-point series performance for the Huskies. In Friday's 4-0 shutout against No. 12 Minnesota State, Mikaelyan assisted on three of the four St. Cloud State goals as she recorded the first three-point game of her career. The rookie forward also tallied an assist in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss. On the weekend, Mikaelyan tied for the lead amongst all WCHA skaters in assists (four) and points (four).
