Wisconsin's Hall & Jungels Join Ohio State's MacLeod & Cimoroni In Earning Latest WCHA Weekly Awards Presented by OS Hockey

Wisconsin's duo of Cassie Hall and Vivian Jungels and Ohio State's combo of Hailey MacLeod and Maxine Cimoroni were awarded the latest set of Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) weekly honors, presented by OS Hockey. 


WCHA Forward of the Week
Cassie Hall, Jr., Wisconsin (South Lyon, Mich.)
Wisconsin's Cassie Hall earned her first WCHA Forward of the Week honor of the season after a five-point weekend performance in the Badgers' series with No. 3 Minnesota. Hall recorded an assist in Friday's overtime loss to the Gophers before following up with a hat trick and an assist in Saturday's 6-1 victory. The hat trick marked the second of Hall's career. Hall was tied for first among all WCHA skaters on the weekend with her five points.

WCHA Defender of the Week
Vivian Jungels, Sr., Wisconsin (Edina, Minn.)
Vivian Jungels was awarded the WCHA Defender of the Week honor, marking her first weekly award of the season after her performance in Wisconsin's top-3 series against No. 3 Minnesota. In the Badgers' 6-1 victory against the Gophers on Saturday, Jungels tallied two goals and added an assist. The two goals marked the first multi-goal game of Jungels' career. The Badger blueliner was tied for first among all WCHA defenders on the weekend in points (3) and goals (2), while her seven blocked shots were first among all skaters.

WCHA Goaltender of the Week
Hailey MacLeod, Sr., Ohio State (Abbotsford, British Columbia)

After backstopping the second-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes to a top-10 series sweep, Hailey MacLeod was named the WCHA Goaltender of the Week for the second time this season. In Ohio State's 6-2 win against then No. 9 Minnesota Duluth on Friday, MacLeod posted 32 saves, tying her season-high for saves in a game. The senior goaltender followed up with another 32-save performance in Saturday's 3-1 win. MacLeod led all WCHA goaltenders on the weekend with a .955 save percentage.

WCHA Rookie of the Week
Maxine Cimoroni, F, Ohio State (Toronto, Ont.)
For the first time this season, Maxine Cimoroni was named the WCHA Rookie of the Week after her performance in the Buckeyes series sweep against then No. 9 Minnesota Duluth. On Friday, Cimoroni assisted on three of the six Ohio State goals, helping the Buckeyes earn the 6-2 win. She then followed up on Saturday with two more helpers in Ohio State's 3-1 victory. The rookie forward led the Buckeyes on the weekend with her five points, while her three assists in game one marked a career-high for the Toronto, Ontario native.
