Wisconsin's Eden, Ohio State's Peschel, Minnesota Duluth's Gascon & Minnesota State's Bischoff Earned the Final Set of WCHA Weekly Awards Presented by OS Hockey

After helping their respective teams to series sweeps in the final weekend of the regular season, Wisconsin's Lacey Eden, Ohio State's Emma Peschel, Minnesota Duluth's Ève Gascon, and Minnesota State's Mercury Bischoff earned the final set of Western Collegiate Hockey Association weekly honors of the season, presented by OS Hockey. 


WCHA Forward of the Week
Lacey Eden, Fifth-Year, Wisconsin (Annapolis, Md)
An eight-point series performance led to Wisconsin's Lacey Eden being named the WCHA Forward of the Week for the third time this season. Eden helped the Badgers to a series sweep against St. Cloud State to close out the regular season and led all league skaters with her eight points on the weekend. In game one, Eden recorded a career high five points with her hat trick and two assists. Eden followed it up in game two with a one-goal, two-assist performance to help Wisconsin claim its 11th WCHA regular season championship. The Badger also recorded her 100th career goal in Friday's win, becoming just the fourth Badger to ever record 100 career goals.

WCHA Defender of the Week
Emma Peschel, Sr., Ohio State (Edina, Minn.)
Emma Peschel earned her second WCHA Defender of the Week award of the season after leading Ohio State with seven points in the series sweep against Bemidji State. In Friday's 7-1 series-opening victory, Peschel recorded a team-high four points, scoring the game-winning goal and tallying three assists. The Buckeye blueliner recorded three points in game two of the series, scoring a goal and adding two helpers in the win. Peschel also finished the series with four blocked shots, which was a team-high for Ohio State.

WCHA Goaltender of the Week
Ève Gascon, Jr., Minnesota Duluth (Mascouche, Quebec)

For the second-consecutive week and sixth time this season, Minnesota Duluth's Ève Gascon was named the WCHA Goaltender of the Week. Gascon backstopped No. 9 Minnesota Duluth to a series sweep against No. 3 Minnesota on the road as she recorded 65 saves, a .956 save percentage, and a 1.44 goals against average on the weekend. Gascon recorded 31 saves in Friday's 3-2 overtime win and followed up with a 34-save performance in Saturday's 2-1 overtime victory.

WCHA Rookie of the Week
Mercury Bischoff, F, Minnesota State (Cohasset, Minn.)
Minnesota State's Mercury Bischoff claimed her third WCHA Rookie of the Week honor after helping the Minnesota State to a series sweep on the road against St. Thomas. The rookie forward totaled four points in the series for Minnesota State. Bischoff recorded a goal and two assists in Friday's 5-2 victory before following up with a goal in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win. Bischoff now holds the Minnesota State program record for most goals in a season by a rookie with 19.
