Wisconsin's Eden, Minnesota Duluth's Kosobud, Minnesota's Clark & Minnesota State's Bischoff Named WCHA Weekly Award Winners Presented by OS Hockey

Four Western Collegiate Hockey Association athletes from four different programs were awarded the latest set of WCHA weekly honors, presented by OS Hockey, as Wisconsin's Lacey Eden, Minnesota Duluth's Kate Kosobud, Minnesota's Hannah Clark, and Minnesota State's Mercury Bischoff were each awarded for their efforts. 


WCHA Forward of the Week
Lacey Eden, Fifth-Yr, Wisconsin (Annapolis, Md)
Lacey Eden was named the WCHA Forward of the Week for the second time this season after her outing in the Badgers series split with No. 2 Ohio State. In Wisconsin's 4-1 Sunday victory, Eden recorded one goal and registered two assists to help the Badgers defeat the Buckeyes. Eden also posted six blocked shots in the series and helped the Badgers to force the Buckeyes to go 0-for-5 on the power play in Sunday's victory.

WCHA Defender of the Week
Kate Kosobud, So., Minnesota Duluth (Moorhead, Minn.)
For the first time this season, Kate Kosobud was named the WCHA Defender of the Week for her performance in Minnesota Duluth's series sweep of Bemidji State. Kosobud led all WCHA blueliners with her four points on the weekend after recording back-to-back two-point games for Minnesota Duluth. In Friday's 3-2 win against the Beavers, Kosobud tallied two helpers, including an assist on the game-winning goal for UMD. The sophomore defender then followed up with a one-goal, one-assist performance in Saturday's 5-0 shutout victory. Kosobud also recorded five blocked shots in game two of the series.

WCHA Goaltender of the Week
Hannah Clark, So., Minnesota (Oshawa, Ontario)

Minnesota's Hannah Clark was awarded her third WCHA Goaltender of the Week honor of the season. Clark posted a 0.966 save percentage and a 0.96 goals against average in two games against St. Thomas. In Friday's 4-1 victory against the Tommies, Clark recorded 30 saves and allowed just one goal before stopping 26 of the 27 shots faced in Saturday's 1-1 draw, where the Gophers won the shootout. In total, Clark made 56 saves on the weekend for the Gophers.

WCHA Rookie of the Week
Mercury Bischoff, F, Minnesota State (Cohasset, Minn.)
Minnesota State's Mercury Bischoff claimed her second WCHA Rookie of the Week accolade of her career. Bischoff recorded at least one point in both games of the series against St. Cloud State. In Friday's 5-1 loss, Bischoff recorded the only Maverick goal of the game. The rookie forward then scored a goal and tallied an assist in game two of the series, helping Minnesota State to a 4-1 victory.
